The meeting was
held in Ahvaz.
Hassan
Abbaszadeh, the Deputy Petroleum Minister, emphasized the need for coordination
across the oil industry’s capacities to secure reliable feedstock for
petrochemical complexes in the region.
Ramin Hatami, CEO
of NISOC, said his organization is ready to cooperate with the petrochemical
sector across different areas to support feedstock stability.
The two sides
also agreed to form a joint working group involving the NPC, the NISOC, and Boiali
Petrochemical Company. The group will evaluate feedstock options through
investment in projects related to collecting associated gas.
The discussion
further covered potential additional feedstock supply for Petrochemical Razi,
contingent on the company’s entry into development investment projects by the
National Iranian Oil Company, alongside increasing the volume of gas deliveries
needed to expand capacity at the Gachsaran petrochemical facility.
