Speaking to senior managers at NPC headquarters on Monday, Abbaszadeh
praised the industry’s round-the-clock efforts during the crisis, crediting
collective action and adherence to NPC’s strategic emergency plan for meeting
national supply demands under pressure.
Unified Response to Crisis
“In the face of extraordinary conditions, all elements of the industry
stood together,” Abbaszadeh said, highlighting the role of the NPC’s Crisis
Management Committee in mobilizing coordinated efforts, particularly in the
critical hubs of Mahshahr and Assaluyeh.
He emphasized that NPC’s regulatory and supervisory functions enabled
companies to act strategically during the conflict period, helping to avert
major disruptions in production and distribution.
HSE and Emergency Readiness in Focus
The NPC chief warned that protecting surrounding communities from
potential risks remains a top priority. “Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
units within NPC have a decisive role,” he said, urging all petrochemical
plants to comply strictly with regulatory protocols and safety directives.
Abbaszadeh also pointed to ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of
Industry, Mine, and Trade (MIMT), stating that joint efforts had successfully
ensured the supply of essential inputs to downstream industries throughout the
conflict.
Enhancing Sector Preparedness
He called on all petrochemical complexes and projects to remain fully
prepared by implementing rigorous safety measures and maintaining effective
coordination between local emergency command centers and NPC’s central HSE and
crisis units.
Abbaszadeh further emphasized the importance of documenting
operational experiences from the recent conflict to support future preparedness
and long-term production stability.
“This experience must be transformed into a learning opportunity,” he
concluded. “Every aspect of sustainable production must be continuously
reviewed and reinforced.”
