The reactor, commissioned by Petrofarhang Holding and Energy Sepehr
and manufactured by Machine Sazi Arak, was installed on Monday, March 3, the
company announced.
Weighing approximately 360 tons, with a diameter of 6.5 meters and a
height of 11.7 meters, the reactor is made of carbon steel and contains 2,815
internal tubes. This is the first time such equipment has been indigenized in
Iran, preventing the outflow of tens of millions of dollars in foreign
currency.
Previously, Petrofarhang Holding subsidiaries had also placed orders
for 30 specialized process equipment units, contributing further to the
country’s import substitution strategy and reducing reliance on foreign
suppliers.
