According to NIPNA, Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science,
Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy; Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Minister of
Petroleum and NPC Managing Director; and Seyed Abbas Mousavi, President of
Sharif University of Technology, signed the agreement.
Purpose of the Agreement
The agreement aims to enhance the knowledge-based economy ecosystem
within the petrochemical industry as part of the Vice Presidency’s
comprehensive program to promote AI applications across various sectors.

Role of Sharif University of Technology
The selection of Sharif University for this collaboration was proposed
by the Vice Presidency, leveraging the university's expertise in AI and
cutting-edge research capabilities.
The initiative is expected to foster innovation and strengthen the
role of AI in achieving operational efficiency and strategic advancements
within the petrochemical industry.
