Speaking at the introduction ceremony for NPC's new Director of
Planning and Development and the Head of International Affairs on Tuesday,
January 7, Abbaszadeh stressed the importance of collaboration between these
departments to enhance energy diplomacy and promote exports. He stated,
"Continuous synergy and interaction in identifying new markets can
significantly ease international collaborations."
Abbaszadeh highlighted NPC's readiness to support petrochemical
holdings and companies, emphasizing the need to diversify the industry's
customer base. "With new projects coming online, we aim not only to meet
domestic demand but also to achieve remarkable export performance," he
added.
Collaboration with Diplomatic and Trade Entities
Abbaszadeh underscored the necessity of cooperation with the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, Iranian embassies abroad, and the Trade Promotion
Organization of Iran to raise awareness about Iran's petrochemical capabilities
and potential in the international arena.
Strengthening Unity with Petrochemical Holdings
The NPC CEO pointed out the establishment of a collaborative
atmosphere with major petrochemical holdings, facilitating strategic decisions.
"Although some disputes regarding utilities were raised, they were
addressed during a government economic commission session chaired by the Oil
Minister. It was agreed that NPC would act as the state's representative, a
decision welcomed by holding executives," he explained.
In a meeting with holding CEOs, the economic challenges were reviewed,
and consensus was reached on the continuation of NPC's role as a mediator to
address industry issues. Abbaszadeh called for unity among industry players,
assuring that NPC would provide the necessary support to propel the sector
forward.

Commenting on the newly appointed directors, Abbaszadeh praised Alimorad’s
extensive experience in planning and development management, coupled with his
expertise in investment and international operations. He also lauded Atefeh
Yekta for her considerable experience in various roles within NPC and her
contributions to international studies.
He concluded by emphasizing the strategic goal of defining the future
of petrochemical markets and diversifying the customer base to secure
sustainable growth in the industry.
