NPC Appoints Interim Head of Project Management Division

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has appointed Ahmad Jalilian-Fard as the interim head of its Project Management Division, according to a decree issued by Deputy Minister of Petroleum and NPC CEO Hassan Abbaszadeh.

In the official letter of appointment, Abbaszadeh highlighted Jalilian-Fard's commitment, expertise, and extensive experience as the basis for his selection. The new role aims to enhance strategic projects in the petrochemical sector and contribute to the nation's economic growth.

The decree outlined several key priorities for Jalilian-Fard’s tenure, including:

·         Effective implementation of NPC's strategic policies to mitigate project risks and ensure alignment with national objectives.

·         Adoption of cutting-edge technologies and adherence to global environmental, safety, and quality standards in executing prioritized projects.

·         Ensuring projects are completed within their planned timelines, controlling costs through scientific and economic decisions, and complying with relevant regulations.

·         Maximizing the potential of local manufacturers and suppliers, aligning with NPC’s localization policies.

·         Approving the technical qualifications of domestic contractors, consultants, and suppliers, and preparing tender documents for upcoming projects.

·         Active involvement in development initiatives by leveraging the expertise and knowledge within NPC’s organizational framework.

·         Empowering staff through training and capacity building to create a dynamic organization.

·         Optimizing financial structures to enhance profitability and stakeholder value.

·         Overseeing engineering, procurement, construction, and installation activities while facilitating technology and knowledge transfer.

Abbaszadeh expressed confidence in Jalilian-Fard's ability to drive impactful results in advancing the petrochemical industry and wished him success in his new role.
