In a message published by the Supreme Leader's office on Saturday, the
Leader extended his condolences to the Islamic world and the broader resistance
front, while congratulating them on the "martyrdom" of the prominent
figure.
He emphasized that Nasrallah’s death would not weaken the resistance
movement, but rather strengthen its resolve in the ongoing battle against
Israel.
"The foundation he laid in Lebanon and the direction he provided
to other resistance groups will not fade with his passing. On the contrary, his
blood, along with that of other martyrs, will reinforce the determination of
the resistance, delivering even more decisive blows to the decaying and
crumbling Zionist regime," the Iranian Supreme Leader said.
Nasrallah was reportedly killed in attacks in Lebanon on Friday night,
though details surrounding the incident remain unclear.
His decades-long leadership of Hezbollah, which has been a key player
in the armed struggle against Israel and a central figure in Lebanon’s
political landscape, made him a pivotal figure in regional resistance efforts.
Ayatollah Khamenei praised Nasrallah’s dedication to defending the
Palestinian people and their fight against Israeli occupation.
He described Nasrallah as a "great warrior, a banner-holder of
resistance," whose strategic leadership had made Hezbollah a formidable
force.
The Supreme Leader further declared five days of national mourning in
Iran and offered condolences to Nasrallah’s family, Hezbollah, and the people
of Lebanon.
"The Islamic world has lost a great figure, but his path and
ideology will live on," Ayatollah Khamenei said, invoking the legacy of
past Hezbollah martyrs.
The Iranian leader reiterated that Israel’s involvement in the
incident had not brought it any closer to victory and predicted that the
resistance would emerge stronger in the aftermath of Nasrallah’s death.
