Speaking at the 18th IranPlast International Exhibition, CEO Abdolali
Ali-Askari emphasized that increasing production is a continuous goal for
PGPIC. Over the past three years, the company has achieved a production
increase of approximately 5 to 8 percent annually, and this upward trend is
expected to continue.
Ali-Askari highlighted the successful operation of the Hoveyzeh
Persian Gulf Gas Refinery last year, which has significantly boosted the
ethane-plus feedstock supply for Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company from around
46,000 barrels per day to over 91,000 barrels per day, enhancing the complex’s
production capacity.
He also mentioned that Gachsaran Petrochemical, with a capacity of
about one million tons, is currently producing approximately 64 tons of
ethylene per hour. Regarding the Hengam Petrochemical project, which became
operational this year, Ali-Askari noted that around 44 ships of Hengam’s
petrochemical products have been loaded and sold.
Ali-Askari announced that the Arghavan Gostar Ilam Polypropylene
project is expected to be operational within the next three months.
Additionally, the Sadaf Persian Gulf Petrochemical project, one of the largest
rubber production companies in the Middle East, is also set to commence
production within the same timeframe.
The CEO reiterated the company’s commitment to development and production
increase, noting that PGPIC’s subsidiaries produce strategic and key products
in various fields, such as textile-grade PET and bottle-grade PET, playing a
significant role in the national economy.
