According to MEPK, the company has successfully increased its monthly
production to near its nominal capacity.
Mehrdad Mozaffari, CEO of MEPK, highlighted the achievement, stating
that in August 2024, the company produced 150,113 tons of methanol, equivalent
to 97% of its nominal capacity and 103% of the planned target. This marks the
highest production volume since the company’s inception.
Comparing the production volume of 2024 with the previous year,
Mozaffari noted that in August 2023, MEPK produced 54,168 tons of methanol.
This represents a 177% increase in production year-over-year.
Mozaffari also mentioned the previous production record, recalling
that in May of this year, MEPK produced 137,844 tons of methanol. This figure
was surpassed in August with a 9% increase, reaching over 150,000 tons and
setting a new benchmark for the company.
