During his field trip to Asaluyeh, Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy
Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, appointed
Siavash Mirhaji as the Emergency Crisis Manager for petrochemicals in the Pars
Energy Economic Zone.
In the ceremony introducing Siavash Mirhaji as the representative of
governance in this area, Shahmirzaei emphasized the implementation of crisis
management laws and regulations, considering them mandatory for petrochemical
companies.
"All holdings and petrochemical companies must adhere to and be
committed to the implementation of existing laws and regulations in a cohesive
and coherent manner," stated Shahmirzaei.
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company emphasized that the
safety, health, environment, and non-operational defense units of
petrochemicals must be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and
equipment and have the necessary requirements for use in crisis situations.
"It is necessary to maintain a high level of regional crisis
management to be able to coordinate necessary measures in all executive areas
when faced with emergencies and crises," Shahmirzaei continued.
Referring to the targeted efforts in completing the value chain in the
petrochemical industry, he said, "While striving to achieve the planned
objectives, all aspects should be considered in line with development."
During his trip, Shahmirzaei visited the Dena, Pars, Phase 2, and
Desalination units of the petrochemical complexes, as well as the Mehr
Petrochemical projects and Lavaran Development.
Another program on Shahmirzaei's agenda during his one-day trip to
Asaluyeh was attending a brainstorming session on strategies for maximizing
production surge and organizing a spiritual assistance ceremony in the form of
888 livelihood aid packages from the petrochemical industry of Bushehr for the
flood-affected people of Sistan and Baluchestan province and the less
privileged areas of Bushehr province. This program was held as part of the
implementation of the social responsibility strategy of the petrochemical
industry.
