The inauguration ceremony, held on Sunday, March 10th, was attended by
Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National
Petrochemical Company, alongside other dignitaries.
Alireza Rahaei, President of Amirkabir University, emphasized the
importance of indigenous development of catalysts used in the petrochemical
industry, stating, "Iran has achieved significant milestones in the
petrochemical industry over the past decades, relying on knowledge-based
companies and universities."
He added, "Amirkabir University, as one of the scientific and
specialized hubs in the country's industry sector, can support the
petrochemical industry in achieving self-sufficiency in the catalyst
sector."
Amir-Hooman Karimi Vasigh, CEO of Sarv Oil and Gas Company, also
addressed the ceremony, expressing readiness for expanding cooperation with
active companies in the petrochemical industry.
"In recent years, with the support of the Ministry of Petroleum for
knowledge-based companies, significant achievements have been made in the field
of oil industry technologies in the country," Karimi said. "Iranian
manufacturers in the catalyst sector have not only secured a significant
presence in domestic markets but have also gained desirable markets
abroad."
Karimi highlighted the growing collaboration between universities and
industries through knowledge-based companies and anticipated the active
participation of dozens of such companies in the Servino Innovation Center in
the coming years.
