Emphasizing the pivotal role of petrochemical holdings and complexes, especially with the approaching spring planting season, Shahmirzai emphasized the need for these entities to uphold their commitments in supplying the agricultural industry.

He stated, "Supporting and backing the agricultural industry should be seriously attended to by all responsible parties, and through collaboration and convergence, conditions should be provided so that farmers across the country do not have concerns about obtaining fertilizer."

Referring to the support provided by petrochemical companies to the agriculture sector, Shahmirzai added, "Last year, urea-producing petrochemical companies delivered 2.4 million tons of urea fertilizer to the Agricultural Support Services Company at the approved price, and efforts will be made to continue this trend."

The Deputy Minister of Petroleum addressed the concerns of ammonia and urea-producing petrochemical companies regarding the recovery of their claims, stating that with the adoption of executive measures and strategies, the debts of these petrochemical complexes could be settled. He asserted that NPC is ready for any necessary cooperation in this regard.

Shahmirzai further highlighted the establishment of a joint working group between NPC and the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture to enhance the value chain of urea fertilizer and diversify the portfolio of petrochemical products required by the agricultural sector.
