The event also marked the commencement of the
implementation of the flood control project, green spaces development, and a
section of the fiber optic line in the northern site of the Parsian Special
Economic Zone.
The inauguration took place as part of the
broader initiatives during the second official visit of the people-centric
government to Hormozgan province on Thursday.
Dr. Salajegheh, alongside Engineer Shahmirzai,
CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, officiated the launch of Pier 3, one
of the four active piers among the 19 at Parsian Port.
Currently, the port has an annual loading and
unloading capacity of 9 million tons, with plans to increase it to 40 million
tons in the future. The addition of Pier 3 is expected to significantly
contribute to the region's economic activities and enhance its maritime
capabilities.
During the sidelines of the presidential visit,
the operational phase of the flood control project, green space development,
and a portion of the fiber optic line in the northern site of the Parsian
Special Economic Zone were initiated. Additionally, the inauguration of the
Guard Building and equipment at the port marked a pivotal moment for the
strategic area.
The developments underscore Iran's commitment to
boosting its infrastructure and economic activities, showcasing its dedication
to fostering growth and sustainability in the Parsian region.
