Petchem Expansion Initiatives Commence at Bandar Imam

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- In a significant step towards enhancing the capabilities of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, the executive operations for two developmental projects were officially inaugurated today.

The ceremony, attended by Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy Minister of Petroleum, and Sepahdar Ansari Nik, CEO of the Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, marked the commencement of the construction of a Chlor-Alkali unit with a capacity of 300 thousand tons and a Caustic Soda unit with a capacity of 330,000 tons.

Construction of these units, which is expected to span 32 months, is poised to expedite the completion of the value chain in this petrochemical complex. Upon completion, the final products from these units will be utilized as feedstock in the PVC units, slated for construction in the near future.

The addition of the Chlor-Alkali and Caustic Soda units is set to increase the production capacity of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, contributing significantly to the development of the petrochemical sector and fostering downstream industries.

Inauguration of Petchem Museum at Bandar Imam

Simultaneously, in conjunction with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex, a Petrochemical Museum was officially inaugurated today. The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Deputy Minister of Petroleum Morteza Shahmirzaei and the CEO of the Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company.

The establishment of the Petrochemical Museum stands as a testament to the rich history and achievements of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex over the past five decades.

It serves as a platform to showcase the evolution and advancements in the petrochemical industry, providing valuable insights into its contributions to the national economy and industrial landscape.
