TEHRAN (NIPNA) - On the third day of the prestigious 17th IranPlast International Exhibition, the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone Organization, in the esteemed presence of NPC CEO Morteza Shahmirzaei, entered into seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with domestic enterprises, amounting to a total value of $58 million. These strategic agreements are poised to fortify the knowledge-based economy and comprehensively enhance the petrochemical value chain.

The signed MoUs encompass an array of critical initiatives, including the construction of a state-of-the-art chlorine park, the establishment of a polyethylene terephthalate production facility utilizing bottle grade PET waste, the creation of a cutting-edge waste and sewage recycling complex, and the groundbreaking establishment of an innovation factory, a first of its kind in the industry. Additionally, agreements were reached for the production of intermediate materials, essential materials, and pharmaceutical packaging items. Furthermore, the extraction of benzene and toluene from DPG and the launch of new petrochemical projects are on the horizon.

The 17th International IranPlast Exhibition, which commenced with a strong focus on amplifying the value chain, fostering domestic production, and rejuvenating national construction efforts, began on Sunday at the permanent Tehran International Exhibitions venue and is set to continue for four insightful days.
