In a meeting held in the presence of the Production Control Manager of
the NPC and the executives of the NIGC, innovative approaches to carbon
management, as well as the reduction of flare gases and their utilization in
petrochemical complexes, were discussed.
During the meeting, Bijan Chegeni, the Production Control Manager of
the NPC, emphasized the need for optimal utilization of flare gases to protect
the environment.
He stated, "The use of these gases for petrochemical production and
environmental preservation should be prioritized, and in this regard, sharing
experiences and achievements between the National Petrochemical Company and the
NIGC can lead to desirable results."
He further highlighted the importance of convergence among all sectors
of the oil industry in reducing flare gas emissions and managing carbon, in
line with the policies set forth by the Minister of Petroleum and the efforts
of the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and the CEO of the NPC.
Chegeni stated, "The NIGC has had valuable experiences in this
field in recent years, and holding joint meetings will enhance synergy and
facilitate the transfer of successful experiences."
Continuing his remarks, the Production Control Manager of the NPC added,
"The petrochemical industry has played a role in reducing flare gas
emissions, alongside gas refineries, and significant progress has been made by
petrochemical complexes in Bandar Imam, Tabriz, Shazand, Bushehr, Urmia,
Bistoon Zagros, and Bu Ali, among several others, in the field of flare
gases."
Furthermore, during the meeting, colleagues from the NIGC presented a
report on the company's achievements and successful performance, and
discussions were held to optimize and utilize the gained experiences
effectively.
Both parties emphasized the continuation of mutual cooperation between
the NPC and the NIGC.
