The annual ordinary general assembly of AGTPC was held on Sunday, in
the meeting hall of Shastan Investment Company.
Mohammad Reza Yazdani, the CEO of AGTPC, said: "In the
petrochemical industry roadmap, AGTPC is the executor of the centralized
storage and transfer project of petrochemical products of the second phase of
petrochemicals in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone to the export port. The
47-hectare area of this complex will ultimately have 48 tanks with a storage
capacity of more than 1.2 million cubic meters of product. On the sidelines of
this meeting, Mohammad Reza Yazdani, the CEO of AGTPC, explained a summary of
the operational performance of this company in 2021 for the public relations

Yazdani, referring to the opening of nine tanks in February 2022 and
increasing the storage capacity of petrochemical products by more than two
times, said: "The existence of sufficient storage space for the product
gives confidence to the producing companies that in case of disruption in
loading and exporting, they can continue to produce and store products in green
tanks without interruption. This action strengthened the strategic position of
Green Tanks Company in the petrochemical industry and also made Shastan's role
as one of the investors and main players in the petrochemical industry more
prominent and deeper than before.
He also announced a 10% increase in the amount of stored product in
2022 compared to 2021, and said: "In total, Green Tanks Petrochemical
Company stored and transferred more than 5 million cubic meters of
petrochemical products produced in the country to the terminal for loading and
exporting in 2021. Methanol accounted for 54%, LPG for 35% and ethylene glycol
for 11% of these products and we are also providing services with 22 tanks in
the new year. Two ethylene glycol tanks of Bushehr Petrochemical Company and
two methanol tanks of Apadana are also under construction according to the
physical progress of production units.
The CEO of Green Tanks concluded by recalling the memorandum of
understanding signed at the 27th Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical
Exhibition and said about expanding services: "Because we have the
necessary infrastructure to provide storage services in this company, we have
plans to expand the market according to the needs of the region and country. We
are pursuing them to provide more service to the country's economy in addition
to making maximum use of the created capacity.
The first phase of Green Tanks Petrochemical Company was completed
with 13 tanks with a capacity of 361 thousand cubic meters during 2015-2019 and
in February 2022, with the operation of nine tanks of phase two, the total
storage capacity of petrochemical products in this company's tanks increased
from 361 thousand cubic meters to 775 thousand cubic meters. The amount of
investment made in phases one and two has reached more than $350 million.
Various types of liquid and gaseous products produced by petrochemical
complexes in phase two Asaluyeh are stored and stored in this company's tanks;
Methanol, propane, butane, various types of ethylene glycol products, light
naphtha, ethylene, butadiene, styrene monomer, propylene, normal and iso
butanol and diethylhexanol are types of products that are stored with
capacities required and based on production from 6 thousand to 720,000 cubic
meters in this company's tanks. Currently, petrochemical companies Morvarid,
Marjan, Bushehr, Kima Pars Middle East, Sabalan and Pars Glycol use this
company's services.
