The National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has announced that the
industry has created around 2,885 hectares of lush green space across the
country.
This exceeds the existing requirement of creating green space of at
least 10% of the space owned by each company, and is a true testament to the
industry's dedication to environmental protection.
The NPC has taken significant measures in various parts of the country
to expand green space, and to promote environmental conservation.
The industry has achieved an outstanding 55% of green space, which is
43% more than the expected requirement.
The process of creating green spaces in petrochemical projects and
complexes is ongoing, with an emphasis on maintaining serious commitment to
environmental protection.
The NPC has already commenced mangrove operations in 500 hectares of
land in the Mahshahr region.
This project is intended to protect the environment and to continue
expanding green space in the petrochemical industry across the country.
Davoud Emadi, the HSE Manager of NPC, has praised the industry's
special attention to preserving the environment and referred to it as an
environmentally friendly industry.
He has also highlighted the industry's essential role in creating
added value and jobs for the country's economy.
Mr. Emadi announced that the NPC is ready to cooperate with the
Environmental Protection Organization to remove any obstacles that may hinder
the industry's efforts to protect the environment.
The petrochemical industry's exceptional achievement in expanding
green spaces and preserving the environment is commendable.
It sets an example for other manufacturing and industrial companies to
follow. The NPC's commitment to environmental protection and job creation is
truly admirable, and they should be commended for their dedication to
sustainability.
