The director of production at NPC said that the petrochemical industry’s
yield stood at 53 million tons in the first three quarters of the year and the
plants operated at an average of 71% nominal capacity.
Bijan Chegeni predicted that performance of the plants would reach 75%
of their nameplate capacity by the yearend to March.
He further said that the average production of the petrochemical plants
across the country averaged at 67% of the nominal capacity before President Raisi
took office in 2021.
