“This unit will be ready for operation in February this year,” said the
company’s CEO Ardalan Sedaqatzadeh in a conversation with Shana.
Speaking about the status of implementation of the Paraxylene (PX)
unit of Bu Alisina Petrochemical Plant, which had a fire accident in the summer
of 2016, the official said: “The new design of the Paraxylene Unit of Bu
Alisina has been carried out by an Iranian consultant, and now all the
equipment has been installed and are in the launch phase; the insulation and
instrumentation of the 8001 furnace is in the final stages, and the connection
of the 8001 furnace to the 8001 tower will be completed by the end of the week.”
Stating that the hydrocarbon has already entered the PX unit, he
added: “The pre-startup and start-up stages cannot be separated.
Pre-commissioning has started in December and we hope that with the end of
furnace 8001 operation, which is the last equipment, the commissioning
operation will be completed by February and the unit will start production as
soon as possible.”
The deputy CEO of Bu Alisina Petrochemical Company continued: “With
the exit of this unit from the production circuit, the reformite product of
this complex was exported, and if this unit is used, reformite will be
converted to the valuable paraxylene as a product.”
