Morteza Shahmirzaei today (Tuesday, December 6) at the first
specialized meeting on the development of management and human capital of the
oil industry, considered the excessive development of the upstream
petrochemical industry as one of the challenges of this industry in Iran, and
stated: “Currently, about 14 to 15 million tons of methanol and other products including
urea are being supplied in the upstream sector of this industry in Iran.”
He emphasized: “In order to have an industrial country, we must
produce all the items of the petrochemical value chain inside the country, so
that by completing this chain, final products can be produced in complementary
industries for the country.”
