Iran and Russia signed three cooperation documents today
(Wednesday, May 25, 2022) after a meeting between Iranian Minister of Petroleum
Javad Owji and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
In addition, following this meeting, the chairmen of the
Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Iran and Russia signed
a joint statement between the Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji and the Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.
Also, a memorandum of understanding between the National Petrochemical
Company and the Russian Chemical Industries Union on the exchange of technical savvy
and knowledge-based cooperation in the field of petrochemical equipment was
signed by Morteza Shahmirzaei, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, and
Rudkovich on behalf of Ivanov, President of the Russian Chemical Industries
Union. .
According to the report, during a meeting with Russian
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Petroleum Minister Javad Owji stressed
the efforts of the Islamic Republic and the 13th administration to develop
trade relations with Russia with the cooperation of the public and private
sectors of the two countries.
"The cooperation between Iran and Russia is
comprehensive," Alexander Novak, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister, said
during the meeting, adding, ”
This cooperation has recently
gained a certain momentum, and we must implement the important agreements
reached at the level of the Presidents of Iran and Russia.”
Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, arrived in Tehran on
Tuesday at the head of a high-level delegation from his country.
