Speaking on Sunday, Sheikh Mostafa told NIPNA about his
satisfaction with attending the 14th Iran Plast International Exhibition, and
said: “Communication and exchange of information in this exhibition with
activists and those involved in downstream industry in Iran can be effective in
the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic
Republic of Iran.”
Emphasizing that the Iraqi Kurdistan region has a deep
historical trade and cultural relationship with Iran, he added: "In the
markets of the Kurdistan region, there is no market that does not contain
Iranian goods."
The head of the Export and Import Department of the Iraqi
Kurdistan Region praised the quality of Iranian goods in general, and said:
"It seems that with more monitoring of the export of Iranian products to
the Iraqi Kurdistan region, we can see a significant increase in trade
cooperation between the two countries."
He considered the import of raw materials and the
establishment of joint production companies with Iran as the main priorities of
the Iraqi Kurdistan region in the current situation, adding: "Soon, the
necessary correspondence to start working in these cases will be done with the
downstream industry bureau of the National Petrochemical Company."
