Behzad Mohammadi, who is also Deputy Petroleum Minister for Petrochemical
Affairs, visited petrochemical development projects in Makran region on Monday to
emphasize the importance of this region in developing Iran's petrochemical
industry and completing the value chain of downstream industries.
Mohammadi in a meeting with the regional petrochemical officials,
while expressing gratitude and thanks to Shastan Holding for creating the infrastructure
in the region, said: “The first brick of petrochemical development in this
region has been laid by Shastan Holding.”
Emphasizing that the development of Makran region has been a
strategic and important measure and that it has been emphasized by the Supreme
Leader, the Deputy Minister of Petroleum said: "By implementing
infrastructure projects and considering the strategic status of the region, it
can be turned into a petrochemical hub.”
Behzad Mohammadi stated: “The National Petrochemical Company
is ready to cooperate in various fields and also to accelerate the process of
removing obstacles and problems in order to facilitate implementation of
projects in the Makran region.”
