Speaking to reporters following a meeting with Tehran
University academia to review the latest achievements of the university in carrying
out studies on oil and gas fields, Zangeneh said that Iran expected to enhance
its petrochemical revenues to 27 billion dollars per annum by 2021.
He further said the year would be marked for
materialization of the second leap in the petrochemical industry of Iran,
adding the third leap would begin afterwards and would reach fruition by 2025.
Iran has planned to bring its petrochemical production capacity to 130 mt/y
by the year.
