Addressing a gathering of senior petrochemical executives,
Ahmad Mahdavi Abhari said: “Petrochemical companies, by unity and integrity and
the support of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), are playing a major
role in the country’s economy and industry.”
The APIC official said the industry was at the
forefront of the economic war against Iran, saying petrochemical plants
generate value in the sector and deposited 70% of their export revenues in the Forex
Management Integrated System, locally known as NIMA, last calendar year which ended
on March 20.
“Petrochemical executives are the officers of the
economic war and as figures indicate, petrochemical companies have fully fulfilled
their hard currency commitments,” he said.
