PGPIC’s director of production
control Mohammad Reza Soleimanzadeh, referring to the eye-catching progress
made in Iran’s petrochemical industry in recent years, said that many of the items
and equipment needed in the industry were used to be imported 15 years ago, but
now they were mostly being supplied by domestic manufacturers.
“Today, many of the advanced catalysts
and equipment used in the industry are supplied domestically inasmuch as over
90% of the petrochemical catalysts have already been indigenized,” he said.
Referring to the massive capacity
of Iranian companies in the field of expert workforce, he said: "If the
right support for the specialists is ensured and the suitable job market is
provided for them inside the country, knowledge-based activities will proceed
faster,” he added.
Based on these capacities as
well as the main policy and determination of PGPIC to support and utilize maximum
domestic capabilities power in consulting, engineering, and production of
products and services, maximum purchase of Iranian products along with
supporting domestic manufacturers, utilizing the potentialities of
knowledge-based companies, paying attention to strengthening the production
chain in the petrochemical industry, and the need to have a close relationship
between PGPIC subsidiaries and providers of the related services and products,
the holding company has decided to hold the conference, Soleimanzadeh said.
The three-day conference is planned
