Speaking to
NIPNA, Mohammadi Amirzadeh said that the downstream sector of the petrochemical
industry could play a major role in the country's economy, adding development
and strengthening of this sector required planning and investment.
Noting the
forward progress of the petrochemical industry in Iran, he said that the boom
in the petrochemical industry could not be denied, adding that Iran Plast
Exhibition represented only one small section of the petrochemical industry of
the country.
“In Iran,
the industry is now booming and bustling forward,” he said.
He added
that, as industry officials have pointed out, the third leap in the
petrochemical industry is under way. According to plans, by the end of 2025, a
third leap in petrochemical production will occur in Iran, which will increase
the capacity to produce petrochemicals dramatically.
Amirzadeh
said the leap would generate many jobs in the country and bring a lot of value
added to the country through downstream petrochemical industries; developing
and strengthening this sector requires planning and investment.
