Speaking to NIPNA, Ali Adyani, who is also a
member of the energy committee of the parliament, stated that the petrochemical
industry needed a regulator to further develop, adding the regulator would contribute
to the health of competitions, transparency in performances, fairness and
justice in services, ethics, and openness and innovation in the sector.
Underlining the acceptable progress in the
petrochemical industry in recent years, the MP said the sector had made good
progress in various parts and had strengthened its infrastructures.
He further expressed optimism that the country's
petrochemical industry could take steps to develop more than ever in spite of
economic problems and sanctions, adding: "Our country's petrochemical
industry has high attractiveness for investment due to its abundant feedstock reserves and the existence of optimal infrastructures."
