Adel Nejad Salim said PGHC is seeking to bolster activities of Khuzestan Petrochemical Plant as one of its subsidiaries.
"We have held very useful talks with two renowned international firms in the petrochemical industry for revitalizing Khuzestan Petrochemical Plant," Nejad Salim said.
He said plans are underway for boosting the quantity and quality of the plant's output.
Khuzestan Petrochemical Plant, located in Mahshahr Special Economic Zone, is one of the subsidiaries governed by PGHC.
The plant's first phase development came online in 2004 and its second phase was launched in 2007.
Persian Gulf Holding Company governs fifteen state-run petrochemical companies: Bandar Imam Petrochemical Plant, Arvand Petrochemical Plant, Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical Plant, Bou Ali Sina Petrochemical Plant, Fajr Petrochemical Plant, Khuzestan Petrochemical Plant, Petrochemical Non-Industrial Operations Company, Rah Avaran Fonoun Jonoub Company, Nouri Petrochemical Company, Pars Petrochemical Plant, Mobin Petrochemical Plant, Pazargard Non-Industrial Operations Company, Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company, Petrochemical Commercial Company and International Petrochemical Company.
Seven subsidiaries of Persian Gulf Holding are producers, two are utility procurers and the rest are commercial companies.
