Pardis Petchem Output 3rd in Iran

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Pardis Petrochemical Plant contributed to 8.43% of Iran's total petrochemical output during the month of Mehr (7th months in Iranian calendar, September 23-October 22).

Nearly all the plant's output, excluding 10,000 tons of 483,000 tons, were exported during the month. 

The plant has produced 1.1mt of petrochemical products ever since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21. This puts the plants among the first most productive petrochemical units across the country.

The exports fetched Pardis some 305 million dollars in revenues of which 65 million revenues belonged to the month of Mehr. 

The plant operates at 98% of its nameplate capacity and is expected to produce 3.1 million tons of petrochemicals by the end of the year to March 20, 2016. 

Pardis Petrochemical Plant is fed by natual gas recovered from massive South Pars gas field Iran shares with Qatar in Persian Gulf waters. 

Phases I and II of the plant can produced 1.36 million tons of ammoniac and 2.15 tons of urea.
