The plant operated at 110% of its nameplate capacity during the month, offering 4.2% of the country's petrochemical output.
It also exported 61,000 tons of its products, which fetched it $20,481. It sold 123,000 tons of its petrochemicals on the domestic market.
The plant can process 1.7m tons of petrochemical products annually. It produced 810,000 tons of the products during the first 5 months of the calendar year which started on March 21 2015.
Established in 1959, Shiraz Petrochemical Plant underwent a major overhaul in 1984 which increased its production capacity by more than ten times.
The plant produces a range of petrochemical products like urea, ammoniac, sodium carbonate, bicarbonate, nitric acid, argon, agricultural aluminum nitrate and methanol.
