Director of projects at NPC Marziyeh Shahdaei said the plant has been recognized as being eligible for being financed by state resources for its development.
She said the project has so far made nearly 23% physical progress and the loan is expected to accelerate its completion by the end of the current calendar year to March 2016.
The project is being developed for production of urea and ammoniac in an area as big as 500 acres in the province of Zanjan.
Previously, the project was introduced to some domestic banks for raising its capitals.
Zanjan petrochemical project is among 18 petrochemical projects that have been introduced to National Development Fund of Iran (NDFI) to receive funds. The plants are Andimeshk, Sadaf, Ilam, Salman Farsi, Petrochimia, Fasa, Jahrom, Darab, Miandoab, Gachsaran, Golestan, Ardabil, Siraf and Kaveh projects.
